What is Workplace Ministry?

  • A chaplaincy service for people at work.
    Supported by all the churches, chaplains make regular visits to workplaces.

Where does Workplace Ministry operate ?

  • in any organisation where people are at work.
  • Chaplains visit factories, offices, shops, the police, fire and ambulance stations and airports.  The network of chaplains is being built up in response to demand and several vacancies are available. vacancies >>.

What does a Chaplain do ?

  • support people at work.
  • Chaplains offer friendship and a listening ear to individuals and organisations. They share in the bad and good times in the workplace. They are interested in the work, the organisation, the industry and everyone who works in it. They are encouraging, approachable, discreet and utterly trustworthy.
  • Chaplains are available to all, regardless of religion or race. They are not there to preach, although they are always happy to discuss spiritual matters if asked to do so. They support staff of all faiths and none.
